PLC Leaders

Dr. Dennison Bhola is an Education Consultant with expertise in the areas of Assessment, Curriculum Development, Brain-compatible Instruction, Educational Research and Statistics; his specialty is online assessment.  In 2020, Dennison co-authored two Create Aha! Moments books, a book for teachers and a companion book for learners. 

At present, Dennison hosts lively PLC sessions and webinars about ways to increase student engagement for learning.  He has facilitated over 300 teacher and principal professional development workshops around the globe.  As an educator, he taught at the graduate level (Assessment Development, Research Design, & Statistics) and at the secondary level (Math, Physics, & Chemistry).  Dennison’s students were highly engaged and achieved significant learning gains.

Michelle Piel has worked in the business world for more than a decade as a corporate training director, business writer, researcher, and consultant. Currently, she is the Managing-Partner of Psychometric-Solutions and Dennison’s co-author of the Create AHA Moments books, Tips for Teachers and Tips for Learners. 

As a business and education consultant, Michelle has experience in personnel selection; staff professional development; organizational training, executive coaching; culture transformation; and assessment development.  As the Leader of the Psychometric-Solutions Qualitative Research Team she spearheads research efforts that involve conducting workshops, focus groups, structured interviews, and ethnographic research.  Michelle and her husband, Eric share an Air Force background of piloting C-5 aircraft.

Mr. Telesford has over four decades of classroom and educational administrative experience in the country of Trinidad and Tobago.  He was a nationally renowned Secondary Entrance Assessment (SEA) teacher at Rosary Boys’ R.C. School in Port-of-Spain, and later served as the school principal of St. Peter’s R.C. School, Pt. Cumana, Carenage where he transformed the school culture to one of excellence.

In 2010, he graduated class valedictorian from Dayton University, Ohio with a Master of Education degree (Education Leadership).  Since then, Lester has lectured with the Catholic Religious Education Institute (CREDI).  Presently, as a Vicariate Manager, he is responsible for quality assurance in primary schools for the Catholic Education Board of Management.

Toanya Rahim is a youth and family coach.  She is also a leadership consultant with over twenty-five years of experience.  Her love for young people led her to develop programs for and with young people in families, schools, churches, orphanages, and youth groups.  She is adept in delivering one–on–one as well as group coaching, workshops, and motivational speaking engagements.

Ms. Rahim holds an Executive Master’s Degree in Business Administration from The Institute of Business, UWI, St. Augustine.  She is a Licensed Master Practitioner of Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP); a Certified John Maxwell Coach, Trainer and Speaker; a John Maxwell Parenting and Family Coach; and, a Youth Mental Health First Aider.

Dr. Ramdin is a National League of Nursing certified educator. Her teaching in higher education spans 25 years and includes the Assistant Deanship of a large baccalaureate nursing program in the United States. As a transformational leader with a specialty in learning assessment and item writing, she has co-authored two books to prepare nurses for the national licensure exam, facilitated professional development workshops for teachers across the USA, taught on-line and hybrid courses synchronously and asynchronously, and developed simulation cases for high-fidelity instruction and assessment experiences. Her academic success driven by research and expertise as a board-certified nurse practitioner rounds off her global proficiency.

Mr. Laptiste is a graduate of Anderson University with a Professional Educator’s License to teach 5th – 12th grade mathematics in the state of Indiana.  His passion for people development has led him to coach and mentor his students to fully optimize their talents through meaningful action.  As a teacher dedicated to the growth and development of young people, Vaughn has served as a secondary education teacher for more than ten years, with seven in Tobago (physics/mathematics) and three in Indianapolis.  

Presently, Vaughn teaches high schoolers Algebra 1/2 at a thriving public charter school in an urban community.  Simultaneously, Vaughn pursues a keen interest in education policy via Teach Plus, where he served as a Teaching Policy Fellow from 2019 to 2020; at present, he serves as a Senior Policy Fellow.

Ms. Roma Rahaman is a highly qualified educator and administrator with over 23 years of experience. She entered the secondary school system as a teacher for these subject areas:  Principles of Accounts and Management of Business.  As a Vice- Principal, Ms. Rahaman demonstrates effective leadership practices and mentors teachers in the areas of classroom management, curriculum, instruction, and assessment. 

Roma is a member of the Worldwide Association of Female Professionals.  Her Professional Certification in Event Management led her to coordinate Professional Development workshops for local and international organizations.  Her valuable contributions were recognized by AMCHAM in their e-magazine “Champion for the Month.”

Dr. Steve Mohammed is a leadership and education consultant with 35 years of experience at the global level, including higher education, human resource development, coaching, and leadership consulting. He holds a DPhil. in Educational Leadership from Oxford Graduate School, USA; and, M.Sc. and B.Sc. degrees in Petroleum Engineering & Management from UWI, St. Augustine. 

Steve serves as the regional team leader of Leadership Development and HR with Cru in Latin America and the Caribbean.  He contributes to the development of competency-based graduate education programs with the International Leadership Consortium (ILC).  Steve also serves as the Chief Academic Officer of OASIS Institute of Higher Learning in Trinidad and Tobago.
